 Psychotherapy Services

It is normal to feel down, stressed or overwhelmed at times, and sometimes we can feel really stuck. It can be difficult to work out what to do, or what could help. If you're not sure how to get started with therapy, feel free to contact me and we can talk about what might be the best first step.

At Stephanie Bryant Therapy, I provide one to one CBT and EMDR for a range of issues, including PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I also provide CBT clinical supervision for accredited  therapists.

I am a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behaviour Therapist, and a qualified EMDR therapist, with membership at EMDR Association UK.

My services are available online via video, and I can offer face to face sessions in Swaffham, Norfolk, on request.

I have sessions available currently.

About me

I have worked in NHS mental health services for 20 years, and have over 14 years experience practicing as a psychotherapist within NHS Talking Therapy Services, and in private practice. I have offered clinical supervision to BABCP accredited CBT therapists for the past nine years.

I am an enthusiastic and optimistic therapist offering CBT and EMDR in Norfolk, UK. I have a passion for providing high quality therapy to my clients.  I feel privileged when I can help people to understand themselves better, to grow in confidence, and develop new skills, and build the kind of future that they would like to live.

I am a supportive and flexible clinical supervisor. I enjoy sharing my own knowledge and experience with my supervisees, as well as learning from them in return. I want to help my supervisees to thrive in their practice, and to enjoy their work with clients.

About

CBT is based on the idea that thoughts, emotions, what we do, and how our bodies feel are connected. When we are struggling, we can end up in patterns of thinking and responding that make us feel worse, and keep us stuck.

We may have learnt these patterns earlier in our lives, and CBT can help us to understand why we developed these patterns, and how to change them so that we can feel better.

EMDR helps people to recover from difficulties that have been triggered by painful or traumatic events in their lives. It helps the brain to reprocess associated memories to make them less distressing and to heal the impact of the past pain.

Clinical supervision is a vital part of providing therapy to your clients. It gives you a protected space to reflect on your clinical practice - both looking at the parts where you feel stuck or unsure, as well as celebrating and building on your successes.
